How often should I get my house windows cleaned?

Most residential clients require their windows cleaned every 3 – 6 months. However, this can vary depending on many factors, such as traffic pollution, if the house is near the beach and is affected by salt spray, or if there are a lot of little children or pets putting dirty hands or paws on the glass, etc.

Yes, we do. This is detailing of windows and requires extra time and effort especially if the windows are difficult to reach.

Why are my windows foggy?

Fog is a common problem in double-paned thermal windows. When they are made, the gas between the panes is sealed in. If the seal breaks, the gas leaks out and moisture leaks in causing fogging in the window.

How do reach the high windows inside?

Where possible we use extension poles however sometimes we may need to use a ladder. We put down cloths under ladder feet when inside the home.

Do you move objects away from the windows before cleaning them?

If the objects or furniture are easily moveable and present no risk of breakage, we are happy to move them for you and put them back. If there are many small objects in front of the windows, it really helps us do our job more efficiently if they were moved beforehand.

What is a French-pane window? How do I know if I have them?

French-pane windows typically have solid wood dividers that physically divide a window into more than four panes. Traditional French window has to be done each individually so takes longer to detail.

Do you still come if it is raining?

We normally continue working if it is raining lightly. However, if we consider the weather dangerous for work, ie. stormy and wild winds, then we would re-schedule.

But doesn’t rain make the windows dirty?

Not really. The three main reasons windows become dirty are:

Pollen & Dust, Insect droppings, Fingerprints, Cooking fumes etc

If these are present on the glass when it rains, the residue in the rain attaches itself to the dirt and often makes the windows look worse. So if the windows have recently been cleaned, then the rain will simply run off the clean glass and the windows continue to remain clean.

Can you put my house or business on a regular window cleaning schedule?

Yes. Call once to schedule your home/business for a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or yearly visit. We will call you to confirm the appointment when your scheduled date approaches.
